The original painting of On Resilience 23 was the first in a series inspired by Emma’s January 2023 trip to Bali. This piece honours the incredible waterfall she encountered in Tenbok - a place of immense power and quiet constancy. While the world has weathered so much in recent years, this natural wonder simply kept flowing, a reminder of resilience in its purest form. The work also continues Emma’s Luminate theme: lighting up the darkness.
