This work reflects the layered, evolving nature of long‑term love: complex yet safe, peaceful yet hard‑won. It speaks to time, trial and error, forgiveness, and the quiet courage of taking the next step together. For the artist, enduring love became possible only after cultivating the same commitment, patience and compassion toward herself.
The original mixed‑media painting incorporates vintage sewing patterns, found ephemera, wax, tea, dried rose petals and sea‑bird feathers, creating a richly textured foundation.
This limited‑edition giclée print (edition of 25) is produced on 330gsm Somerset Velvet with a torn edge, numbered and signed by Emma, and hand‑finished with metallic and iridescent acrylic inks and mediums.
